The Servants of Jesus of The Divine Mercy strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need in neighboring communities. From neighborhood evangelization to daily lunch ministry and a food pantry/raising funds for families in need, we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus in today’s world. Catherine M. Lanni and Mike Lanni
Catherine and Mike have been married for 40 years, with three daughters (Maria, Benedetta and Elizabeth) and eleven grandchildren. They started the initial Divine Mercy prayer group in 1994, which has since expanded to include the Divine Mercy Center in Clinton Township, Michigan.
Benedetta Lanni MorleyExecutive Director
Benedetta is a wife, mother, singer/songwriter and the daughter of Catherine and Michele Lanni. She has been a part of this ministry since its inception- serving as a volunteer before officially joining the staff in 2006. She has managed the Center’s growth from a small prayer group to a Missionary Center, and now a full-fledged Divine Mercy Center on the campus of the former St. Claude Parish in Clinton Twp., MI. Her passions include serving the community and promoting the message of God’s unfathomable mercy.
Kurt KleinVice President
Kurt is married to Tia, and they are parishioners at St. Isidore Catholic Community in Macomb.He has been an artist for more than 32 years, and enjoys producing work in a variety of mediums. He has twice been honored to be a finalist in the Art Renewal Center’s International Salon Competition, which has entrants from over 30 countries, and where “some of the best contemporary realist artists in the world compete for recognition”. This lifelong passion for artwork also finds an outlet through his company Signature Studio. In addition, he has been an instructor at Macomb Community College for 17 years, and has also served as a supervisory board member for the ARC Credit Union.
Carl is a devoted disciple, husband, and father. He is a parishioner at Ss. Cyril & Methodius in Sterling Heights. Married 10 years, he supports his wife Stephanie in homeschooling their four children: Anthony, Isabella, Benjamin, and Nicholas. He has experienced God’s grace and witnessed the power of His healing as both his daughter and wife are cancer survivors. His corporate experience comes from managing a probate and creditor’s rights law firm as well as being a founding partner/director of Document Preparation Services, LLC. He is a core member/coach of the Ss. Cyril & Methodius Home School Sports Program and enjoys every opportunity to invest his time in children. Carl has been blessed to have traveled across the country and abroad, some of his favorite destinations having been Jamaica, St. John’s, and the Vatican.
Mike came to know the love of God through the love of his wife Andrea which resulted in 4 children that he loves with all of his heart. He longs to let others know of God’s great love for all of us, especially those we come into contact in our everyday life including our own families. His faith life accelerated greatly after learning that his wife’s 5 centimeter tumor was only 5 millimeters! Some say it was a typing error, Mike says it’s a miracle. He is a parishioner at St. Andrews church in Rochester and is a member of their newly formed evangelization team. He has worked promoting the AOD Men’s conferences for many years and loves contemporary Christian music especially Catholic artist Matt Maher. Mike has owned his own business, Office Express for 28 years and feels that all of us as Catholic Christians need to be warm and genuine people who love the life that God has given to us, giving thanks in the good times and trusting Him in the not so good times.
Tia has been married to husband Kurt for two and half years. They recently became parishioners of St. Isidore Catholic Community in Macomb, and are prior members of St. Athanasius parish in Roseville, where they were married. Tia has worked as a Civil Engineer and Construction Manager for over 15 years and is formerly a member of St. Jude Parish in Detroit where she served as a Lector and teacher of Children’s Liturgy of the Word. Tia became a prayer minister with the Servants of Jesus Divine Mercy in December of 2013, and has served as a volunteer at the Center in various capacities over the past several years.
Mary is a lifelong Catholic with seven children, 27 grandchildren and a great grandchild due in August. the Shelby Twp. resident and St. Andrews parishioner started attending Divine Mercy Center services and events years ago after first hearing about them from a mason who was installing a religious statue. “I love being Catholic,” she says. “I have a real trust in Jesus Christ and I feel that being a part if this increases my faith.
Ken is married to his wife Maureen for over 40 years and they have two children and two grandchildren. He has been an Independent Manufacturer’s Sales Rep since leaving Xerox Corporation after working there 20 years, and has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Oakland University. Ken and Maureen have been involved in the church focused on family and marriage, Baptism classes, RCIA, Leaders in Bible Studies and the Couple Prayer Ministry. He is also a member of the St. Joseph Covenant Keepers. His faith continues to grow and he strives to bring the message of trusting in the Lord to others, thus bringing about awareness of Jesus’ Divine Mercy.
Maureen is married to her husband Ken for over 40 years and has grown children, Kristen, Nick (Hillary) and two grandchildren. Her background is in decorative painting and historical restoration where she enjoyed a 30 year career. Her work included work abroad, nationally and local sites including area churches. Presently, Maureen represents a Nutritional Epigenetic Science Company where she continues to minister to others to improve the quality of their lives. Her work in the community includes work in the pro- life arena, Mary’s Mantle and Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums. She has been involved in her church in the area of Family and Marriage, Catechism, Baptism Classes, Bible Study Leader, and the Couple Prayer Ministry. Both Maureen and Ken are dedicated to the ministry of Divine Mercy and to bring awareness to others of His great love and mercy.
