The Servants of Jesus of The Divine Mercy and the Divine Mercy Center have been faithfully guided and supported by many people throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit, including:
- The Most Reverend Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron: Archbishop of Detroit
The Board of Directors
The Servants of Jesus of The Divine Mercy strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need in neighboring communities. From neighborhood evangelization to daily lunch ministry and a food pantry/raising funds for families in need, we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus in today’s world. If you know someone who could benefit from our community outreach, please feel free to make a suggestion to any staff member.
Catherine M. Lanni and Mike Lanni
Catherine and Mike have been married for 41 years, with three daughters (Maria, Benedetta and Elizabeth) and twelve grandchildren. They started the initial Divine Mercy prayer group in 1994, which has since expanded to include the Divine Mercy Center in Clinton Township, Michigan.
Benedetta Lanni MorleyExecutive Director
Benedetta is a wife, mother, singer/songwriter and the daughter of Catherine and Michele Lanni. She has been a part of this ministry since its inception- serving as a volunteer before officially joining the staff in 2006. She has managed the Center’s growth from a small prayer group to a Missionary Center, and now a full-fledged Divine Mercy Center on the campus of the former St. Claude Parish in Clinton Twp., MI. Her passions include serving the community and promoting the message of God’s unfathomable mercy.
Dr. Anthony Cardellio – Vice-President
Tony has been married to his wife, Michele, for over 23 years, and has four children. He is a member at St. Andrew Parish in Rochester and SS. Cyril and Methodius in Sterling Heights. He has been a practicing Family Medicine Physician in Shelby Township since 2003, and has adopted all the teachings of the Catholic Church in his practice since 2013, including the promotion of Natural Family Planning. Joining the Divine Mercy Center was part of an ongoing Faith Journey that started in 2007. ‘There is no place like the Divine Mercy Center, and peace and healing can be found as soon as you enter inside the gates of the property’. Tony plays an active role in the Men’s Ministry Group and has joined the team of Sacristans at the Divine Mercy Center. ‘Serving the Table of The Lord and at Mass has been one of the highest privileges that I have ever done’. Following the call of ‘Jesus I Trust in You’ has lead life in very unexpected but rewarding ways for his family. Hearing God’s call to continue growing the family, Tony and Michele’s youngest two children came 14 and 17 years after their first child. Life is such a wonderful blessing and the Divine Mercy Center has been an integral part of his ongoing Faith Formation.
Mike Carr – Treasurer & Secretary
Mike came to know the love of God through the love of his wife Andrea which resulted in 4 children that he loves with all of his heart. He longs to let others know of God’s great love for all of us, especially those we come into contact in our everyday life including our own families. His faith life accelerated greatly after learning that his wife’s 5 centimeter tumor was only 5 millimeters! Some say it was a typing error, Mike says it’s a miracle. He is a parishioner at St. Andrews church in Rochester and is a member of their newly formed evangelization team. He has worked promoting the AOD Men’s conferences for many years and loves contemporary Christian music especially Catholic artist Matt Maher. Mike has owned his own business, Office Express for 28 years and feels that all of us as Catholic Christians need to be warm and genuine people who love the life that God has given to us, giving thanks in the good times and trusting Him in the not so good times.
I have been with The Servants of Jesus of The Divine Mercy for approximately ten years. I’ve seen how it started and through prayer, faithfulness and diligent effort it has blossomed into what it is today. In being a Prayer Minister, for several years, I see how people are moved by God’s love and mercy. God works through us to reach people. Through this experience, I would like to eventually become an Intercessory Prayer Minister. I also take an active role in the Prolife movement and try to pray once a week at an abortion mill. I’ve been with 40 Days For Life, a peaceful prayer vigil, for many years. They pray in front of abortion mills actively in the Fall and during Lent to end abortion. In the past I was active in a religious vocations group and held a Holy Hour for vocations weekly. Through prayer we can hear God’s message and in prayer we can answer God’s calling.
