Project: Outdoor Stations of the Cross

Outdoor Stations of the Cross #1
These outdoor Stations of the Cross will be one of the first impressions visitors to the Divine Mercy Center will have upon entering the property. We envision an entrance that makes an unmistakable statement about the Mercy of Jesus Christ using the beauty of nature and craftsmanship. We believe our plans for the Stations of the Cross will accomplish that.

As you walk the stations each one is designed as a small retreat where visitors can stop and deeply contemplate and reflect on our Lord’s sacrifice for us. Its design is centered on nature and uses natural materials as much as possible.

The Divine Mercy Men’s Group is spearheading this project. They have been planning and gathering for some time now, and they’ve already begun the first phase of their plan. Much is still needed to make this attraction a reality.

Monetary Contributions are needed to help bring this project to completion. We appreciate donations of all amounts, everything helps. If you are able, please consider sponsoring the Life-Size Crucifix prayer area for $15,000 or one of the 14 Stations of the Cross for $5,000. These particular sponsorships will not only help us to raise enough funds to complete the Outdoor Stations project, they will help to ensure we have the funds necessary for the future maintenance of the stations. The crucifix and 14 station sponsors will be recognized on the donor boards located by the Outdoor Stations.

Equally helpful is the donation of materials and specialized skills that are required that we would otherwise have to raise funds to purchase. If you are affiliated with a business who could donate needed materials, or possess specialized skills and would be able to donate some time to creating this beautiful addition to the Center, please use the “Donate” and “Volunteer” buttons above to become part of the outdoor Stations of the Cross team!
