Fr. Eric Fedewa was born and raised in Shelby Twp., MI.  After graduating from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing in 2004, and after a “re-conversion” experience in that same year, Fr. Eric felt Jesus Christ calling him to the priesthood.  A year later he was accepted into Sacred Heart Major Seminary, a Roman Catholic seminary in Detroit.  Over the six years he spent in the seminary, Fr. Eric obtained a Bachelor degree in Philosophy, a Master’s of Divinity degree, and a Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology (S.T.B.) from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome.  Father Eric was ordained to the priesthood June 11, 2011 by Archbishop Allen Vigneron and was Parochial Vicar at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Troy for two years, Parochial Vicar at St. Hugo of the Hills Catholic Church in Bloomfield Hills, MI as well as Chaplain at Marian High School in the same city for three years, and Parochial Vicar at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Clawson, MI for just over one year.  Fr. Eric is currently Pastor of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church in Eastpointe, MI and has been there since November 2017.
