Become a Servant of Jesus of The Divine Mercy
The Servants of Jesus of The Divine Mercy is a Private (Lay) Association of the Christian faithful, founded by Catherine M. Lanni and established by Cardinal Adam Maida on Easter Sunday, 2003.
We seek to answer the call of Jesus Christ by providing a refuge of hope for all of God’s people, and by offering ourselves as instruments through which God works to heal His beloved people. Our home, The Divine Mercy Center, is a place of prayer run by the laity where corporal and spiritual works of mercy are a way of life. We strive to reach out and share God’s mercy.
Anybody can become a Member of The Servants of Jesus of The Divine Mercy. Members are men and women who are encouraged to make spiritual, temporal, and material commitments:
Members of The Servants of Jesus of The Divine Mercy pledge to live out the following spiritual practices:
Daily Prayer: Daily recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
Daily Invocation: “Jesus, I trust in You. Sorrowful & Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!” and contemplating the Passion of Christ during the three o’clock hour, even if only momentarily.
Spiritual & Corporal Acts of Mercy: Share the Love & Mercy of Christ by words, deeds, and prayer with those whom God places in your path.
Members offer time, talents, and abilities to be of service to the Community by volunteering when able.
It is not a requirement to make a financial contribution at any point to the ministry in order to become a Servant of Jesus of The Divine Mercy. However, it is only through the support of the members and benefactors that the Community is able to exist. We simply ask that all members prayerfully consider an annual or monthly donation to the Community as a part of their commitment to Divine Mercy so that together we can continue God’s work of saving souls.
